Senior Medical Director, Minneapolis MN (Telehealth/Hybrid position)

Inbound Health is seeking Senior Medical Director of our Hospital at Home program.  At Inbound Health, we provide an enablement platform with full-stack capabilities and proprietary technology and analytics tools customized for hospital and skilled nursing at home. Our flexible partnership structure helps customers leverage their existing assets while filling the necessary gaps for program scalability. With over 6,000 patients served across 350+ primary diagnoses since May 2020, we enable our clients to deliver safe, coordinated, and patient-centric care. Our comprehensive approach integrates biometric monitoring, in-home nursing, virtual visits, and a reliable supply chain, prioritizing quality, and safety.

As the Senior Medical Director, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of our clinical programs and services. You will oversee all aspects of clinical care delivery ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and optimal patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This is a hybrid work model that will include a bi-weekly onsite presence in Minneapolis or other locations 6-8 days per month.  This is a Monday through Friday position.

Responsibilities of the Senior Medical Director include:

Clinical Management: Support existing provider team in providing clinical care, including consultative support for PAs, NPs, and MDs

Clinical Operations: Provide strong leadership to the clinical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.  Support existing and expansion markets, in collaboration with other medical leaders.

Patient Care: Provide direct patient care via Telemedicine visits.

Quality Assurance: Partner with medical and quality leaders and oversee a rigorous quality and performance improvement program to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, adherence to clinical guidelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Provider engagement: Meet with key system stakeholders, including clinical and operational leaders, to review quality and operational performance and identify areas of improvement.

Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to support growth and to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our clinical operations.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure integration of clinical services and to monitor service-level performance standards.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Stay abreast of relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices, ensuring ongoing compliance and driving a culture of regulatory readiness.

Data Analytics: Leverage data-driven insights to evaluate and improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies, and patient satisfaction, utilizing technology and analytics tools.

Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, marketing, and customer success, to drive alignment and collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications:

Required:
– Board Certified Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required.
– Unrestricted MN Professional license or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
– Practicing clinician in the inpatient setting experience of at least 3-5 years.
– A minimum of 1-3 years of leadership experience providing clinical oversite to practicing NPs, PAs, or MDs in a non-teaching environment.
– 1-3 years of Leadership experience in value-based care, population health and ambulatory/hospital operations,

Other Requirements
– Proficient in inpatient medicine, virtual care, and multidisciplinary team-based care.
– Ability to work in a start-up environment with changing organizational climate.
– Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical best practices.
– Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process improvement, and quality assurance in healthcare settings.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
– Innovative mindset with a passion for leveraging technology and digital solutions to transform healthcare delivery.
